Alive!!

This past weekend my family and I got to spend time in Franklin, Montana on a ranch that is owned by our extended family. It was really cool to see some of the buildings that were still up from back in my grandma and great-grandmas time. We got a first class tour of the whole ranch, which is huge!! At one point we got out of the car to see a herd of cattle. It was hilarious because after we got out of the car they circled around us like they were herding us! Other cool things were being able to see for miles, the sunsets, sunrises, and the full moon...

On the other hand the ranch had a creepy aspect to it...For one we were about 15 miles from the closest town(which really isnt even a town) so the first thought that ran through my mind was we could be axe murdered out here and no one would know for days maybe weeks! I know that was an irrational thought but it didn't help much that the lady there joked about a body bag...sooo not funny! Then I think the icing on the cake for me was checking under my bed in my private room and finding two bolt action rifles under there. Needless to say I slept on the floor of my parents room.

Overall the trip was fun but I would never be able to live so secluded like they do. Today we left and went to tour Jellystone, Wyoming! It was awesome. Now we are eating our chinese take-out in our hotel in Cody, Wyoming while we watch the Olympics.

Memories!!

Thought Id join in...
1. Leave a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Stuck in Wall

So today is day two of our trek out west. We are currently residing in Wall, South Dakota for the night. Our first night we stayed in Des Moines, Iowa which is funny because that was the same night I watched the US gymnastic athlete, Shawn Johnson, win silver...and I got to watch that from her hometown! I thought that was pretty awesome. We didn't see much yesterday so it was kind of boring but we did get good gas milage. haha.

Today though we did stop and see a few things. Our first sight to see was the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota. That place is awesome! The whole outside of the building is decorated with corn! It's really cool because they create multicolored murals with it. Our second stop was in Wall, which is where I am now, to see the famous Wall Drug pharmacy store. It was pretty cool but all of the gift shops ended up being the same stuff. We also ate at this little cactus cafe place and the food was basically...horrible to say the least. It probably wont sit right with us tonight. :/

And I'm leavin...on a car ride

So I'm officially leaving tonight, or rather tomorrow morning, at two. We had to literally jam pack our tiny little green car with all of my belongings and my parents stuff for our trek out west.

I've been a serious emotional wreck all day. I got to see alot of my friends today and I would be fine in front of them but the minute they left I'd start crying. haha man I better stop that. It's just weird thinking I'm leaving good ol PA for what seems like forever, to start off on a new chapter of my life out in Utah. It's going to be a loooong time before I see some of these people again and I think the realization just started to hit me today...

But on a more positive note...I'm super excited for college!!!!!! My roommates and I have already planned out our crazy outfits for all of the BYU home games! They seem like really nice girls...how could I be so lucky? I'm kind of scared for the singles ward though. Fresh meat on the market walking! yikes! Well thats pretty much it for now...I'll probably give an update while I'm on the road.

UGH!!

I personally hate buying things online at the moment! Because either the site isn't working properly, it's completely confusing, or it was so easy that you don't feel comfortable going through with your purchase...all I have to say is that I am sooooo frustrated with online ordering right now! I guess it doesn't help that I'm extremely tired as well...they better have it fixed by morning...
