help!

So currently I am worrying...haha. I laugh it off because its probably completely ridiculous but yet still here I am worrying. I have so much reading to do that it isn't even funny. I hate highschool!!! They say they prepare us for college...bull!! I'm basically learning everything on my own...thanks central mountain for sucking so much.

On a good note though, I do recall some things that I learned in high school, but they're very minimum. Don't get me wrong, I love college. But I just wish my high school would have prepared us more. This will definately be a growing experience here, and we will definately have to rely on each other and the Lord ALOT! But its possible.

Free at last, I am free at last!

So today I said goodbye to my parents and sadly I feel great about it. It's not like I don't love them or anything its just I'm so ready to be on my own and not have to worry about making sure I see them. So now I can just focus on my studies and schoolwork, 'cause that's what I'm here to do right? right. So anyways, today was our first day of classes! They went really well, but the hard ones start tomorrow so ask me again tomorrow if I like my classes. I also started my new really cool job...making salsa!! That is seriously my job, don't be hating. I get to go in like every other day for an hour or two and make salsa, and then I'm free! I agree its probably not going to be a high paying job, but its a job nonetheless and I love it so thats a bonus. After classes I went and hung out at my neighbors apartment. Well really I just stepped in their apartment because I heard them singing and playing the guitar, they were really good so I wanted to tell them that. The one girl's name is Deneka and the one playing the guitar is Mika. So cool right? So then we sat there and sang songs together...around a campfire haha no but we could have been. It was way awesome. The girls in my apartment and the one next to us just get along so well its awesome!

My roommates and I also decided to start a quote wall. When someone says something funny we write it on a star stickie note and stick it to our wall in the kitchen. Some of them include..." You know how a spork is a spoon and a fork put together? Well spam is a spoon and ham put together." and " This safety lid is extra safety tonight." Haha. We were also really loopy for some reason, so basically everything was way funny. It really seems like we've known each other for a long time before this. After that we tried to make smoothies...I say tried because we couldn't decide who was right. Do you put icecream, yogurt, or milk in it? How bout all three? They turned out really good though...and the sugar probably didnt help our loopiness. Oh well. We ended this awesome night with She's the Man.

college life thus far...

So basically, college is the best so far! Of course we haven't started classes yet so that might change. Ha. Our apartment is...unique. It is seriously one of the most beat up ones here at Heritage. I'll have to post some of the pictures on facebook soon or something. My roommates are awesome and our New Student Orientation group was amazing! We had so much fun with our leaders Kris and Gabe. They really knew their stuff and you could totally tell they love it here. So awesome. Our RA rocks our socks off and she totally chased us up three flights of stairs because she thought we were the ones who ding dong ditched her, but we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Good times, good times.

Let's see... so far we have played apples to apples and signs for hours and have met a ton of really cool people that live close by. We have also met some not really cool people, like this one guy Derick. He was cool at first and then he started to get a little strange. Here he was a sophomore, RM, and he was hanging out with a bunch of freshmen. Sketchy! We didn't even invite him...Johanna from across the hall did and then she left halfway through. But luckily we had some guy friends there to protect us!

These past couple of nights have been amazing. Last night they had a dance for NSO and it was insane! There were people everywhere! At one point we went into the middle, looking for some free dance space, and it was scary. There were people hitting us with their elbows! Then after that there was an after dance, dance party which was pretty sweet. And then tonight we played signs and then mud soccer at midnight. It was pooring rain the whole time but it was sooo much fun!

So yeah that's pretty much whats been going on...Now I have to start my homework thats due Tuesday. Yikes!
